Halloween Trick
or Treat!

Friday 7pm Oct 30th
Campaign for a Living Wage

The Campaign for a Living Wage will be taking to the streets of Auckland's CBD on tomorrow night, to demand a minimum wage of 15 dollars an hour, and an end to poverty wages.

You are asked to dress up as either
(a) a Zombie worker who has awoken from his apathetic slumber or
Trick or Treat (b) a Vampire boss who has been feeding off the blood of his wage slaves!

Kick off is at 7pm at Aotea Square.

Speakers and groups supporting:
- Mike Treen, Unite
- Robert Reid, National Distribution Union
- Darien Fenton, Labour
- Sue Bradford, Greens
- Sonya Church, Young Workers Resource Centre
- Donna Wynd, Child Poverty Action Network

Bring banners, flags and placards from your group too! Download posters for the march here.

We are doing movement stalls outside Starbucks on 220 Queen St Friday before the march from 4 til 6 pm. If you can help please txt us at 029 44 55 702 or email Joe.

Unite members rostered to work at this time are able to attend a paid stop-work meeting co-ordinated with the march from 7 to 9pm.

Trick or Treat

The march and meeting are part of an ongoing campaign by Unite to increase the minimum wage to a living wage (66% of the average hourly earnings) starting with an immediate rise to $15.00 per hour - click here for more information.
